Description
FREDDIE MCGREGOR How Can You Mend a Broken Heart /
STRANGER COLE Black Son
prod. by C.S. Coxsone Dodd
Music Lab MLD 009, ca. -82; -/M-
Made in ??; 2 tracks on 10 inch vinyl in plain green bag
Please note: This is an original item from early 80's,
not a recent reissue!
(Oh yes, it is that Bee Gees song...)
Both sides are full length versions w/ dub/instrumental following
(sometimes the seam is not very smooth)
I strongly suspect these are Jamaican pressings as
the vinyl is lousy! So, there is a snap here, a crackle there and hiss
nearly everywhere, but it is down there; no clicks or other nasties
due to surface scratches, positively no jumping and, as far I can tell,
no distortion. These are in the condition they emerged from factory,
whatever shack that was. Considering that, the sound quality is quite
amazing - wide and spacy, w/ gracious depth in bass range.
PLEASE see if You find some more interesting items from my other vinyls and cd's!
Sleeve / record grading
Note: All grading is done by eye (jacket first), with more than 30 years of experience. I have tried to be VERY strict to avoid nasty surprises. Your money back, if my grading is false! Ringwear, adhesive tape, price tags or their remains, pen markings et al are separately noted.
Sealed = Not opened. The shrink wrap or other seal may be slightly torn but clearly the record has never been taken out of its cover.
M (Mint) = Perfect, looks like never been played - but of course You can never be absolutely sure.
M- = Near mint, has been to a Good Owner, who played it very carefully and probably not many times.
EX+ (Excellent +) = Has been to a Good Owner or two, who played it carefully and handled it as well as You or I but there are minor signs of use.
EX = A record that is clearly a used one but should satisfy most collectors. Possibly light, not audible scratches. Sleeve corners or edges may be slightly worn, but no seams are split.
EX- = Totally playable, but perhaps not any more VERY collectible. Light scratches may snap occasionally.
VG+ (Very Good +) = Should be enjoyable from beginning to end, but one or two deeper scratches would seriously limit the fun. I try to specify the location of damage.
I don't sell records in condition worse than VG+, unless they belong to an interesting collection.
I have used this grading in Finland and I apologize, if it differs substantially from gradings You are more familiar with.
