FREDDIE ROACH: "BROWN SUGAR" LP - On BLUE NOTE Records, BLP 4168. Original 1964 MONO vinyl pressing with the classic Blue & White labels and the and the NEW YORK USA address on both labels! DEEP GROOVE on Side 1 only. "EAR" & VAN GELDER stamped in the trail-off on both sides. Heavy vinyl, thick cardboard cover. Liner notes on back written by Freddie Roach. The personnel: Joe Henderson/tenor sax; Freddie Roach/organ; Eddie Wright/guitar; Clarence Johnston/drums. The cardboard jacket is in superb shape, bright & clean with tight seams, displays wonderfully with only a hint of some tiny age spots at very top on back. No seam splits, no writing, no stickers, no cut-out markings, and the front cover graphics are particularly striking. Address on back cover is 43 West 61st St., New York 23. The vinyl is in VG++ to VG+ condition (beautiful high gloss, some light sleeve marks & a few thin hairlines). The songs are: Brown Sugar; The Right Time; Have You Ever Had The Blues; The Midnight Sun Will Never Set; Next Time You See Me; All Night Long.
