Description
Freedom's Children: "Galactic Vibes" 1971, South Africa/Parlophone PCSJ(D) 12075. Disc has lots of sleeve hairlines and scuffs, plays very well, VG or better throughout, it gets a strong VG grade. Gatefold cover has some handling wear up the spine, the front and rear panels look great with no ringwear to note, this is VG+. An original issue of their third/last LP on offer this week, it's the best copy I've ever had and it does not have the skip at the end of "The Homecoming" that is on all the reissues! This is their heaviest LP, loud riffing guitars dominate many of the tracks. There's a certain "atmosphere" on all of the progressive era LPs from South Africa that I can only attribute to producer Clive Calder, as his name is on almost all of them. They have an incredible feeling of foreboding, as if the bands knew they were forever trapped in the insular scene that was white South Africa. They're all very dark and creepy, and this one has an amazingly evil undertone.

I pack/ship once a week, usually on Friday. I use sturdy cardboard boxes designed for shipping records, and I remove the disc from the cover to prevent seam splits during shipment.
