COVER AND RECORD IN NEAR MINT CONDITION-UNPLAYED COPY STILL IN SHRINK. ORIGINAL FIRST PRESSING (NOT A COUNTERFEIT) FROM 1980.

Futuro Antico (Ancient Future) is the self-titled recording made by Futuro Antico in 1980-BAND IS CONNECTED WITH Italian ethnic trance ensemble Aktuala, here's the unit Aktuala member Walter Maioli would go on to form alongside one Riccardo Sinigaglia after departing that outfit. In concord with Sinigaglia (who'd go on to form Recommended Records recording artists The Doubling Riders) and African vocalist/percussionist Gabin Dabere as well as a pair of ethnic percussionists named Kala and Oisea, Futuro Antico was born for a brief, blissed moment of communal cross-cultural levitation. They produced one studio album's worth of material during their brief existence, but the live and unreleased sounds at hand (procured many moons ago from a source long forgotten) are every bit as transporting, if transcendental ethno-ooze and electrically augmented raga is your cup 'o bhang. . It features a mixture of synthesized and ethnic music, highlighting the role intonation plays in music. This theme was featured in Tappo Volante the last Aktuala album, which featured the mixture of ethnic sounds and studio processing. The track Echo Raga is featured on that recording as well.

They recruited a number of musicians from India and Africa for the recording. There was an initial pressing of 350 LP'S made, due to lack of major label interests-
