Description
You are invited to bid on this fabulous original vintage retro record carry case or folder dating to approximately the 1960s. It is made of vinyl with stiff sides. It opens to reveal 20 clear polythene wallets the right size to hold 45 speed vinyl records. The case has a popper fastener and two handles at the top, and would have been perfect for carrying your precious singles round to your friend's house or to a party. The white vinyl covering is printed with an attractive decoration, designed to appeal to teenagers of the day no matter what their musical taste. There are coloured images of teenagers dancing, record players, musical instruments and musicians, along with the words 'Rock 'n' Roll', 'Sweet Rhythm', 'New Orleans', 'The Blues', 'Duke', 'Jazz Band', 'Louis' and 'Ragtime'. This is a fantastic vintage piece ideal for storing your vintage discs.
The case measures 8" wide, by almost 11" tall, by 1.75" wide at the base. It bears no maker's name. It is in generally good condition with minor wear to the outside, and the inner wallets are a little grubby and need cleaning.
