PLAYGRADED!!!
!!!Sensational QUALITY vinyl Copy!!!
Progressive folk masterpiece with SENSATIONAL audio !!!
This album has barely been played!!!
A fantastic copy of this now obscure album by the Famous Jug Band .The quality of the vinyl is simply ASTONISHING!!!!
A highly original recording by a very short-lived esoteric folk outfit from the turn of the 1970's. While it should be noted that the ever-enigmatic Clive Palmer, founder member of the Incredible Sring Band, is featured here, complete with two original out-there, but wonderfully crafted tunes, it's the vocals of Jill Johnson that stand out the most. Although only 18 at the time of this recording, her voice conveys a passion and wisdom of someone who has lived and died and come back as a spirit, boundless in energy and enthusiasm. The lush acoustic arrangements defy classification, an eclectic blend of so-called early music, ragtime, folk, bluegrass, folk-rock, blues and, yes, jug music. The songs, as a whole, are obscure, moody, somewhat chaotic at times, oddly serene at others, which is great if you're into the mystic, neo-acid folk in the String Band tradition, but off-putting, perhaps, to those seeking a more traditional sound. This is an experimental record in the truest sense!!!
Only 1 wispiest minute hairline on side one. Side two is absolutely UNMARKED!!!! Even under a strong light there are NO marks or lines to be seen. The audio is breathtakingly sublime with an unbelievable clarity!!!! NO jumps, NO crackly sounds, NO skips!!! This album in this fantastic condition rarely comes up for sale and in my opinion it will be EXTREMELY HARD to better this. As such it is the ultimate KEEPER/VAULT copy and a mighty good investment!!!
This Blue/Turquoise Liberty vinyl is pure quality!!!!! The vinyl looks pristine (bar the aforementioned hairline on side 1 (and this cannot be heard) and I played it all the way through, it sounds STUNNING !!!! Re-issues do just not measure up to the depth of the sound. This is just awesome!!! NO jumps, NO pops and NO skips. NO background crackle!!!! This album is playgraded on a Linn Sondek/ Rotel/ B&W set-up. The audio is simply MINDBLOWING!!!! It would be a very tough task to still upgrade from this copy. It has to be the one of the very best available!!!!
Fully laminated sleeve with rich colours. A genuine first press of this extremely rare album. Some underlaminate lifting near the spine near the spine. A smallish crease near the opening. Two very small underlaminate creases on the back of the sleeve. Very vague start of impression ringwear mostly to the back. These do not distract from the overall superb appearance of this very scarce album.
The edges are unmarked protected by the lamination.
The spine is fully legible. Pinched from the top and bottom as was customary those days. The back of the sleeve has a faint start of ring impression towards the top and left. Otherwise unmarked!!! NO writing, NO stains etc.
Labels are NM without any spindle mark!!! SENSATIONAL!!!
I offer a full no quibble refund policy if not entirely satisfied.
