Description

Up for auction we have an almost impossible to find vinyl LP compilation featuring bands/artists that had played at the legendary NYC punk/new wave club, Max’s Kansas City. Titled Farewell To Max’s this album was released in 1985 by President Records (Max’s Kansas City label-#MKC 101) in the UK. They are ten cool tunes on here. The two Robert Gordon tracks and The Tennessee Pedestrians song are live, with the remaining seven being studio recordings. The songs on here include: Treat Me Like A Dog & Heart Full Of Soul (The Yardbirds hit) by Robert Gordon (with Chris Spedding), Call Me - Reg Presley of The Troggs w/Chris Spedding, She Don’t Care & This I Know by The Dragons, It’s Only Natural & Go Go Getter by The Tomkats featuring Brian Setzer, That’s Alright - The Tennessee Pedestrians (great Rockabilly tune!), Take It Easy - John Collins, and I Do I Do I Do by The Troggs.

The cover is in VG condition. It has minor creases & wear on the edges and corners, and very slight ring wear on the back. “CD” is written in ink next to one song on the track listing on the back cover.  Both record labels look new. The vinyl is in play graded VG condition with some minor surface noise (crackle) that can be heard in between tracks. However, there are no loud pops or skips, and overall it plays extremely well. Visually it is very clean and shiny with one very minor mark that I can see. There are no major scratches.
