Paul McCartney's THE FIREMAN: STRAWBERRIES OCEANS SHIPS FOREST - OFFICIAL 1993 UK PROMO PARLOPHONE CLEAR TWO VINYL LP SET - Fire 1(1/2) / PCSD 145(1A/1B/2A/2B)
- NEVER SEEN, ISSUED PRIVATLEY ONCE ONLY ON VINYL, PAUL'S FIRST FIREMAN PROJECT, OFFICIAL 1993 UK PARLOPHONE, NUMBERED LIMITED EDITION TO JUST 1200 COPIES WORLDWIDE, CLEAR VINYL with SUPERB CUSTOM FIREMAN LABELS.
- The FIRST of Paul McCartney's HIGHLY ACCLAIMED 'FIREMAN' Projects, 'Strawberries Oceans Ships Forest' was released by PARLOPHONE, UK in 1993 as a Secret, and due to this was missed by many McCartney collectors at the time. The HEAVYWEIGHT Vinyl LPs are on the IMPRESSIVE Custom White / Red and White / Green FIREMAN labels, with both labels OMITING the official Parlophone logo which was on the obscure official release. The official stamped matrixes are: Side 1: PCSD 145-D-1-1/Side 2: PCSD 145 C-1-1-1/Side 3: PCSD 145-B-1-1/Side 4: PCSD 145-A-1-1.and the records are protected in their ORIGINAL plain white, die cut, inner bags and are housed in their ORIGINAL Thick shiny card SINGLE WHITE NUMBERED Sleeve (Very Very Simular to the White Album ;) with the writing at the top in Red (which is the reverse of the official very rare limited release Double LP), but WITH NO official Parlophone logo which was printed to the reverse of the sleeve.There is also the words "Limited Edition Number" and then NO. 01023, again in the same font as the original white album.
These were never released to the public but sent unawares to selected associates anonymously.
Both Vinyl Discs are FLAWLESS and in mint and are in played once condition , I do have to mention that there "may be" a very very feint spindle mark on two of the sides, but this looks like this was in the press itself. The sleeve is in a BEAUTIFUL EXCELLENT condition (and near copy of the white album!). with a slight crush at the top of the spine, a very small nick near the bottom of the spine and a slight impression where the 2 records have shared the same sleeve for 16 years on both sides. You can only see this because it's all glossy white!,and you will not find a better sleeve due to the way this has been custom made.
The spine reads "The Fireman" and then "Strawberries oceans ships forest in red", This is a MUST HAVE for the many Serious McCartney fans who missed it at the time!
Pricing is the main concern really. I've never seen one up for sale apart for EIL years and I mean years ago and they had theirs for £800.
The good thing about this LP is that it is really really nice to listen to! (I've got it on CD)
I am open to comments on this BTW :) But one things for sure, you won't see this up again
