Description
This is part of a large auction of blues, R&B and a few rock n' roll 10" 78's. Almost all of these came from the collection of a 1950's Yale radio DJ. Across the board, they have been played very little.

Format: 78 rpm 10" shallac record
Year: 1954
Notes: Red label first pressing. One of the last records by Duke, born as Sylvester Henderson. Shortly after this recording, he would renounce his past and become a preacher. Big R&B shouters on both sides, very reminiscent of Joe Turner. Great sax work.
Record Condition: E+, The record plays great with great sound, almost no surface noise at all. Very little actual wear, just some light cosmetic hazing, mainly on Baby side. Labels are very clean as well, no marks, tears or obvious spindle marks. Really nice copy overall.
All records I sell have been personally cleaned and play tested. I am an experienced grader and use the VJM grading system, but please see pictures as so much of this is subjective. These will be shipped in sleeves in a cardboard sandwich in a box for maximum protection.
