I looked at the dull cover on this l.p. sitting on the shelf at one of my favorite records stores & debated on buying it. The price was fair so I grabbed it & it's a good one. This is a Various Artists privately pressed l.p. that has to be Rare & is titled Flight from 1977. It has something to do with the Baha'i faith which I know nothing about. (Late addition: A surprise here is that Dan Seals & John Ford Coley perform 2 songs together. I'm not sure if these songs appear anywhere else !) The song titles on this l.p. sound like folk folk psych type titles & this doesn't appear to be a religious l.p. The opening cut is a gorgeous acoustic folk with flute tune. There is some spoken word when the song gets going. Borders on folk psych. The opener on side 2 is another beauty. Sweet female vocals folk psych with acoustic guitar & flute. There's nother cut that is folk psych with vocals in the realms of Seals & Croft & in a very good way. The killer for me & it was a close call is "Once There Was A Man". It's rural, it's singer songwriter, it's folk psych, it's loner, it's acoustic, it's male vocals & it seems to touch my soul. There's something quite haunting about it. It stirs up a lost memory possibly. I've listened to it 4 times in the last half hour but I just can't place it. There are a couple of cuts I can live without but the good ones more than make up for the duds. I just noticed something I didn't see before. The tune I thought sounded like Seals & Croft is in fact sung by Dan Seals & John Ford Coley ! It's titled "The Prisoner". They also do a song titled "The Greatest Name". All song titles are: Flight, Hidden Words, Seek Out The Light, The World Is Ready For A Change, Hoy Es El Dia, Tree Of Life, The Greatest Name, The Bab, Fragrances Of Summer, I Would Fly, World Citizen, Once There Was A Man, Can't You Feel His Love & The Prisoner. This l.p. has the insert with it. Cover a strong VG++ & vinyl EX. This is my personal copy & the last of 2 that I had in my collection. The first one I sold went for a nice piece of change.

However, I cannot be responsible for uninsured packages. I do pack well and in a professional manner with standard record mailers. I also place a cardboard support inside the mailer for protection and to help prevent any bending. Records are removed from their covers and both are placed in a protective, clear plastic outer sleeve. It's a tried and true method that has never been improved upon. I do offer refunds if the item you won is not as described. I ship every Saturday.
