Offering a copy of this Capitol Records release from 1964, Four By The Beatles. Being in the EP format in 1964 didn’t help record sales and even The Beatles releases performed poorly in comparison to any other format that they were released on. The only good thing about the EPs was they instantly became rare.
The pressing in this listing isn’t mint and does have slight flaws that are mentioned below. I’ve tried to price this one very fairly and I can only hope you will agree.
The flaws:
The cover has a one inch separation at the seam located on top right at the opening where the record slips in. The remaining seams are still very intact and tight. There is some surface wear but plenty of original gloss remaining. One corner bend located at the bottom - front - left. That’s all. Please observe and expand the provided photos for a good look. No flaws are hidden in my listings.
The vinyl has been enjoyed. It plays through perfectly with no skips. Some back-round noise can be heard at the beginning of the first tracks on each side for a few seconds before it fades away. Still very playable. The labels show some wear and there is a barley visible “JK” on the side two label. At least J.K. used a friendly colored ink? Again, please check the pictures carefully. Neither of us want to be disappointed or dissatisfied.
Still with the listed flaws it’s not a bad copy of this rarity and I’m sure it will find a nice home with it’s next owner in line. We never really own Beatle records, we just take care of them for their next destination.
