Description

You are bidding on an a strictly limited edition vinyl copy of the seventh installment of the Songs For Slim series, where artists pay tribute to Replacements guitarist Slim Dunlap by covering his songs. This 45 leads off with Australian alternative-rockers You Am I putting their own swagger on Slim's classic riff-rocker "Ain't Exactly Good."  Side A unites the one-of-a-kind wail of Pixies frontman Frank Black and Minneapolis scene legends The Suicide Commandos on a chilling rendition of "The King & Queen." Mr. Black's distinct vocal track was recorded at Replacements bassist Tommy Stinson's studio in Hudson, NY. 
This release will be limited to 100 numbered copies, signed by Frank Black & The Suicide Commandos. Like all SFS releases, it features original Chris Mars artwork on the cover. Each release includes a digital download card for both songs and all proceeds go to to The Slim Dunlap Recovery Fund (Details below). This auction will run July 15-22. Shipping cost includes $5 handling fee to offset production expenses.
