Frank Zappa ?– Lumpy Gravy Verve Records – 2317 046 Discogs reckons that this catalogue number means that this is a 1972 re-release. This is probably true as the Cat No. shows it to be part of Polydor's UK 'Select' [Price Code] releases on Verve. However, the disc clearly shows the release date as 1968. Either way this is a piece of classic vintage vinyl in really excellent condition.

CONDITION:
VINYL – VG+ Looks and sounds great. Matrix Numbers – please ask if you need these.
SLEEVE –.This Gatefold sleeve is in VG+ condition, clean and crisp. NO TEARS/SPLITS TO SLEEVE. There is some very minor wear to the sleeve opening.
LABEL : VG+ No noticeable spindle marks. There is a small red sticker on each side – the product of youthful enthusiasm.

Notes Original US release date 1968. In the text balloon on the back cover Frank Zappa Says : "Is this phase two of : We're only in it for the money?" which echoes his vision on that work, where he comments; "Is this Phase I of 'Lumpy Gravy'?". This "Lumpy Gravy" work contains conversations 'within a piano'.
Themes (& material) in this work can then be picked up in the work Zappa completed before his death: "Civilization Phaze III"

All my LPs have been stored carefully over the years in individual poly-bags and with new inner poly inner sleeves where required. I ship all the LPs in these bags and use either strong recylced cardboard or bespoke mailers. Part of an extensive private collection now being liquidated. Most items bought new upon release and stored carefully in smoke-free home.
