Freddie Redd Quartet with Jackie McLean: Music From The Connection, Blue Note LP, BLP 4027. 1960
From the sleeve notes: “The Connection by Jack Gelber is a play about junkies … A favourable review in The Village Voice … says that ‘the music puts a highly charged contrapuntal beat under and against all the misery and stasis and permanent crisis [in the play].’”
Both labels have the NYC address and a groove.
Matrix information: stamped RVG and ear, BN-LP-4027 A, BN-LP-4027 B.
Playing surfaces are very clean and unmarked. There are a couple of tiny pressing blemishes in the form of small bubbles.
Original inner sleeve is very clean and undamaged. Outer heavy card sleeve is in very good condition, with some laminate lift at the right hand edge.
