Description

An excellent copy of the very earliest UK pressing of Free's amazing debut, ILPS 9089. Main identifiers are:  

  • Rough textured pink label with black and orange "eye" design. (The texture isn't really evident in the photos, but it's obvious on sight.)
  • Matte gatefold cover with Ernest J. Day printing credit on the back.
  • Inside cover mistakenly credits drummer Simon Kirke as "Simon Kirk."
  • Machine-stamped matrix A2/B2
The vinyl is excellent. There is a slight dish and a touch of sleeve wear, but neither has a notable effect on playback. No scratches, scuffs, etc. The cover is excellent as well, with the only minor flaw being a touch of edge wear at the outer edge of the front panel (see photo #3 above).
