Description

Wilhelm Furtwangler conducts the Vienna Philharmonic in Beethoven's Symphony #3 in E flat, "Eroica".  Very rare original issue on Urania Records, URLP 7095.

Not a mint copy, but really not bad.  Vinyl grades VG/VG+ conservatively.  No bad scratches.  Side one has some light marks and plays with light to moderate surface noise, but sound is strong.  Side two is better, no marks to speak of, plays nicely with the usual surface noise for these very early (1953) Urania issues.  I am certain that it will play better with the appropriate mono cartridge, which I do not have.

Jacket has only general wear, very minor writing on back.  Beginning of a 1 inch split in spine, otherwise seams are good.  Very presentable.

Overall, a decent copy of a nearly impossible to find disc.  This issue was surpressed almost immediately after its issue due to copyright conflicts with Furtwangler's estate.

I will gladly combine shipping for multiple purchases.  I will invoice you with total cost within 24 hours of  auction end, (usually sooner).

I will no longer accept bids from Italy.  I apologize for this, but I have had far too many problems with postal delays and non paying bidders.
