PLEASE NOTE! THESE TRANSITIONAL 1ST PRESSINGS ARE EXTREEMELY COLLECTABLE FOR ANY AVID GENESIS COLLECTORS! FOR THE REASON THAT THERE WERN'T MANY PRESSED LIKE THIS! THE EARLIEST OF THIS PRESSING FEATURES B&C RECORDS ON THE RECORD LABELS AND ALSO THE COVER AND LATER PRESS FEATURE PHONOGRAME ALSO ONLY THE EARLIEST 1ST PRESS COVERS ARE PRINTED BY E.DAY & CO AND ALSO FEATURE B&C RECORDS! THIS PRESSING FEATURES  THE B&C ON BOTH THE LABELS AND THE COVER! THE MATRIX TOGETHER WITH THE FEATURES OF THE GATEFOLD COVER WOULD MAKE THIS THE VERY FINAL STAGE OF WHEN B&C WAS FEATURED ON THIS PRESSING RARELY EVER SEEN ESPECIALLY IN THIS CONDITION! AND LATER PRESS WOULD THEN FEATURE PHONOGRAM!!

This 1972 release from Genesis shows a band growing more confident in the sound developed in their previous release, Nursery Cryme. The influence of Tony Banks continued to grow as more and different keyboards were worked into the compositions. Genesis released their first (and only) side-long epic. All these things point to FOXTROT as one of the most important Genesis albums and arguably in my oppinion one of the best!!!!!.

Strong points of the album include the solemn "Watcher of the Skies", bookended by a powerful and familliar Mellotron theme. "Can-Utility and the Coastliners", a somewhat underappreciated track, is almost prototypical Genesis, with Gabriel singing of the legend of King Canute while Hackett and Banks tear into their respective instruments to produce parts which are enjoyable yet still technically proficient. "Horizion's" is a nice enough guitar solo, and of course there is "Supper's Ready". So what to make of this 20+-minute song that begins with an evening watching TV and ends with the apocalypse? Personally I think it is brilliant.

Here on offer is from my personal collection purchased because of this extreemely rare matrix TRANSITIONAL PRESS 1U AND 2U and as personaly being a collector of unusuall and interesting pressings i have decided to list this album!!!!

I will give a breif description when describing this album!!!!!

The vinyl.

This vinyl looks and plays like new!!!!This is the original heavy and thicker vinyl only found on 1st pressings this lays perfectly flat on the turntable!!! On initial inspection this looks like new!! I CAN'T SEE A BLEMISH! Any marks that could possibly be seen would be sleeve removal marks only!!!  (NO) scratches can be seen The audio is absolutely superbe!!! please note! This has only ever been played two times from new . I have played this prior to listing and this was played at very high volume on a top system the audio is cristal clear and vibrant with (no) signs of grooveware or that this has been overplayed! Please note! it is easy to be critical about 70s pressings please allow for the odd static in the form of tick or crackle  that mighy be heard during some quiet places but (not) consistant throughout the audio There is (no) jumps or skips and no loud clicks or pops PLEASE NOTE! THIS VINYL HAS ALWAYS BEEN STORED SEPERATELY IN A POLY SLEEVE! THIS IS HOW I HAVE ALWAYS STORED MY RECORDS!!!! Top audio throughout!!!!
