Description
Up for auction is a copy of My Friend The Blackbird, backed with White Horses, released in 1970 on Philips, cat no 6006 036. This is a promo copy. Here’s a curiosity; a couple of charming soft pop numbers, sung in a sped-up, Chipmunk/Laughing Gnome style. I’ve no idea who was behind this, but it’s unlikely to have been David Bowie. The b-side is a cover of the Jacky/Jackie Lee evergreen, and if you aren’t intrigued by the idea of a Laughing Gnome take on that….
Condition: looks barely played; push-out centre has been punched out. EX.
My grades: I use a 10-point scale: M-; EX; VG+; VG; VG-; G+; G; G-; F (fair); P (poor). I never use mint as a grade for used records. I am a long-time (25+ years!) record collector, and play-grade where possible. I don’t use stock photos: the item pictured here is the item for sale.
