Original Italian promo pressing on the RCA ORIGINAL CAST Label (TBBO 1076), from 1974. Yet another killer example of Italian film music on 7inch format. A mini masterpiece by the cult soundtrack arranger. Part sleazy and aggressive, part stylish and evocative. Features the funkiest theme from his La Poliziotta Lp grail. The bboy heavy drums of STEP BY STEP is hands down, one of the best of the genre with a relentless, obsessive and psychedelic groove. Super-tuff beats and basslines / funky congas / wah wah fuzz distortions / hammond / sinister male scat vocal chorus and jazzy horn section from a blaxploitation tinged orchestra. Tight open drum break during the outro too ;) Great for DJs with booming production sound. Comped on Easy Tempo Vol. 8. A unique example of the Italian sex comedy cum violent poliziottesco / poliziotteschi / poliziesche / cop thriller sound. The ALMOST LOVE side is also superb. Breezy psychedelic lounge with a groovy samba-esque refrain featuring melodica (?) / wah wah and Brazilian guitars / stylish giallo thriller influenced keyboards and sweet cinematic strings. Top double-sider. Mood music from La Poliziotta aka Policewoman, an obscure film directed by Steno aka Stefano Vanzina starring Mariangela Melato and Renato Pozzetto. Brilliant artwork sleeve design. This is the desirable promotional issue too :) Rare OST 45!!!

Our record grading: SEALED / M- / VG++ / VG+ / VG 

Vinyl is closer to shiny M- condition overall with a few hairlines / faint scuffs from sleeve removal cum storage. Some light surface noises. A few soft pops / soft ticks in places (as you can hear on our soundclip). Booming production sound. Item taken from an unplayed deadstock of records and played once for the recording of our soundclip. The soft card picture sleeve is in strong VG++ condition (closer to M-) with natural age discoloration / some creasing and faint ring dirt marks from storage. A touch of corner wear in places (mostly to spine side bottom corner). Some light wear top bottom edge. Rare OST 45!!!
