STEP BY STEP / ALMOST LOVE ... 7-inch, 45rpm OST single by GIANNI FERRIO e la sua ORCHESTRA. Original Italian promo pressing on the RCA ORIGINAL CAST Label (TBBO 1076), from 1974. Sleazy OST funk masterpiece by the cult soundtrack arranger featuring the funkiest theme from his mega-rare La Poliziotta Lp. STEP BY STEP is hands down one of the best Italian soundtrack funk 45s money can buy with a relentless, psychedelic groove. Super-tuff beats and basslines / funky congas / fuzz distortions / psych wah wah / hammond / jazzy horn section and sinister male scat vocal chorus. Comped on Easy Tempo Vol 8 - Cinematica. Great for DJs and an outstanding example of the Poliziotteschi / euro blaxploitation / Italian cop thriller sound. The B-side, ALMOST LOVE is also superb. Breezy, sambossa / psychedelic lounge with e-piano / sustained wah wah and jazzy vibraphone motifs. Best copy we have ever seen. Superb, artwork sleeve. Very rare OST 45!!!
Our record grading: SEALED / M- / VG++ / VG+ / VG
Vinyl is close to shiny M- condition with a few light hairlines from sleeve removal. Taken from an unplayed deadstock of records and played once for the recording of the soundclip. The picture sleeve is close to M- condition with just natural age discoloration (mostly to top edge area) and a touch of creasing from storage. Best copy we have ever seen. Very rare OST 45!!!
