"GLASTONBURY FAYRE REVELATIONS - A MUSICAL ANTHOLOGY" 3 LP Set
This 3 LP set is one of the most incredible acid artefacts of the early 70s, in all respects (both in form & content);
Mostly recorded live, mid June 1971 at Glastonbury (except a couple of tracks, taken from other live venues), during a fair-celebration of ALL ALTERNATIVE ways of perceiving life, features the quasi totality of the British Underground plus the DEAD. It was also GONG's first live appearance in the UK..., virtually unheard till then!
All bands went for a really free, lengthy, almost improvised & jam-like delivery of their material… and the result is ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS.
To illustrate this, MIGHTY BABY delivers a mesmerising "A Blanket In My Mousli" for a good 16 minutes plus..! and the FAIRIES perform "Do It" for practically 20 min.
Who these bands & musicians are… well, hold your chair tight!
GRATEFUL DEAD, BRINSLEY SCHWARZ, MIGHTY BABY, HAWKWIND, DAEVID ALLEN & GONG, SKIN ALLEY, MARC BOLAN, DAVID BOWIE, PETE TOWNSHEND, THE PINK FAIRIES and THE EDGAR BROUGHTON BAND (these are all included in this recording, while the remaining performances by MARSUPILAMI, BEING, SUNSHINE, LA MAMA, THE FANTASEES, MAGIC MICHAEL, HELP YOURSELF, QUINTESSENCE, QUIVER, JIMI HENDRIX, GENTLE FIRE, TERRY REID, TRAFFIC, FLASH GORDON, MAGIC MUSCLE, SATTVA and BBBLUNDER, I can only hope that they will sometime see the light of day)
The set is COMPLETE and in a FABULOUS NEAR MINT CONDITION.
Also, this copy was given to me by one of the promoters of the event (long time friend), and it's the VERY FIRST PRESS with CUSTOM HAND MADE LABELS (all matrix numbers are of course STAMPED in the trail-off vinyl).
To summit all up: ORIGINAL 1972 UK FIRST PRESS on REVELATION (REV 1/2/3), with POSTER SLEEVE, 3 BOOKLETS, PYRAMID (untouched!), all in the PRINTED POLYTHENE BAG.
All RECORDS are in EXCELLENT condition and COVER + ALL INSERTS are in NEAR MINT CONDITION.
A very elusive album, hardly ever offered and certainly not at this great shape (first scan is from the printed bag, second & third from the booklets and forth & fifth from the labels)

UK bidders can obviously pay for their items in £, at ($1.60=£1). All UK orders (via personal cheques or postal M.O) will be shipped promptly with no extra charges.

Payment with BIDPAY, US M.O. and US cashiers checks will be shipped immediately.
Personal checks in USD will delay shipment until they clear (approx. 10 working days). Cash in a registered letter accepted, but at the buyer’s risk.
For credit card payment, an extra 5% handling fee (VISA/MASTER) and 6%(AMEX) will be added to the total amount. For the other forms of payment e.g., US M.O, US cashiers checks and Personal checks in USD ($), an extra of $2.50 handling fee will be added to the total. In both cases, this money goes into bank commissions.
