The presentation Album measures 36.2 cm x 32.0 cm x 2.2 cm and weighs about 5kg
The actual album on the outside is in Excellent Condition with very little
wear & no damage, as far as I can see. The inside back & front
cover have a bit of age spotting, the paper record sleeves are in
NEAR MINT CONDITION- Overall the Presentation booklet
is graded at VERY GOOD PLUS
The record set covers a period between 1939 & 1942
It features previously unavailable performances, broadcast over U.S.
Networks for Chesterfield Cigarettes.
Glenn Miller actually makes the announcements between each set,
So that too is an interesting feature.

Glenn Miller was born in the drowsy little town of Clarinda, Iowa, on the First of March, 1905. He is thought to have died on December Fifteenth, 1944, when his plane disappeared while flying from England to Paris to lead his American Band of the A.E.F. in a concert to be broadcast on Christmas Day.
The Band consists of - Bob Price, R.D. McMickle, Lee Knowles 9tp); Glen Miller,
Al Mastren, Paul Tanner, (tb); Hal McIntyre, Tex Beneke, Wilbur Schwartz, Stanley Aronson, Al Klink (s); Chummy McGregor (p); Allan Reuss (g); Rowland Bundock (b); Frank Carlson (dm).
Condition of Records
These records were personally cleaned by hand, then first, visually graded & then each record was play-tested. The results are as follows:
Record CLPC.1- Both sides of record- The record on both sides is in NEAR-MINT condition
Record Labels- The record labels on both sides of the record are bright, shiny, clean & pristine, & in NEAR-MINT condition.
Record CLPC.2- On the “American Patrol” side- There is a visible hairline from the start of track one, to the ending of track five. This does not affect the audio playback quality whatsoever, the audio is crystal clear and NEAR MINT.
Record CLPC.2- On the “Rainbow Rhapsody” side- There are two, visible, surface scratches, going right across tracks four & five, there are a couple of surface scratches that go across tracks five & six & one running from the edge of the runout groove to the edge of the label. There are also a few minor hairlines here & there only visible in reflected, artificial light. The first track crackles lightly in the background & pops about seven times. All of the tracks from then on until the end crackle lightly in the background during the quiet spots- This side grade VERY GOOD condition.
Record Labels- The record labels on both sides of the record are bright, shiny, clean & pristine, & in NEAR-MINT condition.
Record CLPC.3- On the “String of Pearls” side- In normal room lighting conditions, the record appears NEAR MINT, when looking at the surface of the record on an angle under artificial light, you can see a few fine, minor, surface hairlines & scuffs that do not affect the audio playback quality whatsoever. This side of the record is graded VERY GOOD PLUS condition.
Record CLPC.3- On the “On a Little Street in Singapore” side- In normal room lighting conditions, the record appears NEAR MINT, when looking at the surface of the record on an angle under artificial light, you can see a few fine, minor, surface hairlines & scuffs that do not affect the audio playback quality whatsoever. This side of the record is graded VERY GOOD PLUS condition.
Record Labels- The record labels on both sides of the record are bright, shiny, clean & pristine, & in NEAR-MINT condition
Record CLPC.4- On the “One O’Clock Jump” side- The record has a visible, surface hairline, from the start of track one, to about 4mm before the end of track one, that does not affect the quality of the audio playback whatsoever. This side of the record is graded VERY GOOD PLUS condition.
Record CLPC.4- On the “Chattanooga Choo Choo” side- The record on this side is in NEAR-MINT condition.
Record Labels- The record labels on both sides of the record are bright, shiny, clean & pristine, & in NEAR-MINT condition.
Record CLPC.5- On the “Here We Go Again” side- The record has a couple of very tiny, minor, surface grazes that are only cosmetic and do not affect the audio playback quality in any way, this side of the record is graded Excellent condition.
Record CLPC.5- On the “Careless” side- The record has a couple of very tiny, minor, surface grazes that are only cosmetic and do not affect the audio playback quality in any way, this side of the record is graded Excellent condition.
Record Labels- The record labels on both sides of the record are bright, shiny, clean & pristine, & in NEAR-MINT condition.
