Yes!   ...This is the impossible to find UK press. One of the harder to find progressive rarities and I have only come across this once before. Because of its very vulnerable matt textured sleeve with brown as its main colour most have not worn very well.  It has a supreme vinyl to match without only a couple of hairlines visible at all!!! A great future investment.

The band was founded in 1969 by twin brothers Colin and Stewart Goldring (the band name is a near anagram for their surname), who were joined by drummer Nigel Pegrum from Spice (the band that would later evolve into Uriah Heep) and Peter "Mars" Cowling on bass. John Earle joined the band on sax and flute for their second album. They came up with the strange band name by reversing and slightly rearranging the brothers' surname. In May 1972, the British music magazine NME reported that Gnidrolog was to appear at the Great Western Express Lincoln Festival on 26 May that year. Other acts to perform in the Giants of Tomorrow marquee included Budgie,Skin Alley, Tea & Symphony, John Martyn, and Warhorse. In 1972, Gnidrolog released both their first and second albums, In Spite of Harry's Toe-Nail and Lady Lake, before disbanding due to a lack of commercial success. Despite having played gigs with fairly well known bands such as Colosseum, King Crimson, Gentle Giant, Wishbone Ash, Soft Machine, and Magma in their brief career, they have always remained relatively obscure. Colin Goldring also made a contribution to the classic " The Yes Album".

Vinyl: VG++ to EX.  A beautiful well looked after vinyl in just stunning condition with a beautiful just pressed appearance. One of the better copies you will find for sure. I have played it in full on my high end system and the audio is totally flawless with hardly any background static. There's one squiggly hairline which does luckily not sound at all. Just the usual sleeve retraction traces.  A total joy to listen to and I am finding it hard to part with this smashing album, but can simply not keep every album I like. This album is extremely scarce in any condition at all, in this condition ... probably one of the last ones out there!

Sleeve: VG+. A lovely gatefold sleeve to match the splendid vinyl. It has a very unusual texture, I would say it has the feel and look of sackcloth. This texture features on the inside gatefold as well. This fantastic texture also made it worse for wear and as a result it has some wear over the circle of the disc. On the inside gatefold we also find the lyrics. Moderate edge wear. This fantastic album is extremely scarce and it hardly turns up these days. It has indeed been some five years since I last saw this.

This is a unique investment opportunity!!! The next prog album to go completely through the roof. Finding this album in any condition at all is nearly impossible so late in the day. Get this while you still can. This value of the album is only going to go one way ... up and up ... until it will be totally unavailable at all for a reasonable price.
