GRACIOUS - GRACIOUS!
A truly excellent copy of this 1970 UK 1st press prog rarity
Year/Label : 1970 UK VERTIGO Label number : 6360002 Matrix numbers : 6360002 1Y//1 420, 6360002 2Y//1 420 Stampers : 11 4 / 12 2Excellent (EX) condition vinyl - completely flat and retaining a wonderful jet black lacquered sheen. Very close inspection under a bright light reveals just a few very, very light surface hairlines on each side (slightly more prevalent on side 2) and a 4cm equally light and faint scuff line on side 2...each is non-feelable, purely superficial and does not impinge upon the brilliant sound quality. To be accurate I would grade the condition of side 1 as excellent plus and side 2 as excellent - impressive! The labels are excellent with the only blemish being some non-obvious, very small and extremely faint spindle trails adjacent to the centre hole on each label. Clearly, this is a record that has been underplayed and well looked after. Excellent (EX) condition unlaminated outer gatefold sleeve with firm and virtually unscuffed edges (just the very occasional and non-obvious tiny "nick). The spine remains rigid with no scuffing (just some very minor surface "crinkling" and all spine text perfectly intact. The corners remain near perfectly defined right angles with some mild rubbing on each, the opening edges are firm with no fraying and all art work, colours, and text remain crisp, vibrant, and with perfect definition. The gatefold has some very minor discolouration on the front and reverse sides through general handling and decades of storage, and on the reverse in the top right corner the tiny letters "DSP" have been written in blue biro, but in terms of blemishes that's as far as it goes which is remarkable for this 55 year old outer sleeve renowned for it's fragility. In fact, the interior of this gatefold is hard to fault! Brilliant excellent plus (EX+) stereo sound quality with no sticks, skips, repeats, clicks or distortion and any background crackle is at an absolute minimum - negligible. Wonderful tone and crystal clear reproduction throughout with every track remaining a great listen. Comes with original Vertigo swirl poly-lined inner sleeve with no side splits, no edge fraying, no tears, barely any creasing, and just some mild age discolouration on both sides adjacent to the edges - impressive! Note that I always ship the vinyl in a new plain white inner sleeve in order to protect the original. A truly excellent condition copy of this UK 1st press 1970 prog/rock/jazz rarity - so difficult to get hold of now, especially in condition as obviously impressive as this.

Note that I always insert the vinyl into a new plain white poly-lined inner sleeve in order to protect the original during postage, and separate this from the outer sleeve to prevent seam splits. I use thick cardboard stiffeners and take great care in my packaging to ensure as far as possible that these precious records reach their destination in exactly the same condition as when they leave me.
