GRACIOUS! - ! – LP (Vertigo 1970 – 6360 002 N)
MEGARARE Original 1st Italian pressing in sturdy g/f sleeve
Hard on the heels of King Crimson, the debut of Gracious! begins with the blandly but accurately titled "Introduction." One of the album's strongest tracks, it's a Nice-like combination of menacing Moog breaks and shimmering harpsichords, and it foreshadows the band's use of both heavy prog music and ghostly lyrics tinged with Catholic dread. "Heaven" is a gorgeous minor-key ballad of stately Mellotron and chiming guitar tones, with harmonies reminiscent of late-model Zombies. "Hell," not surprisingly, is another thing altogether: a descent into drunken declamations, clinking bottles, rowdy bar sounds, loopy piano riffs, and creepy phasing effects. From here, the album settles down a bit: "Fugue in D Minor" is a straightforward chamber orchestra piece, and the "Dream" ends the album with meandering jamming and overblown monologues. Still, it's a fine debut, and it presaged the superb second effort that was to follow.

This is the Italian 1st pressing with its g/f sleeve sporting a full laminated slick surface instead of the matt rough one of the UK printing.
NEVER SEEN A PERFECT VINTAGE COPY LIKE THIS BEFORE... I MEAN: A BETTER COPY CANNOT BE SEEN AROUND AT ALL!
I know that any collector would own a UK first pressing and not a French, Spanish or... Italian one (even if anyone of these is rarer than the UK pressing) but a UK copy close to this stunning lustre fetches a four figures price and, in addition, we'll probably never see one for sale for ages. This one instead... still is! And at a reasonable price: high but... REASONABLE! Think it over, but not too much! When it's gone... It's gone forever!
g/f SLEEVE : M- (SIMPLY PERFECT ! Not a shade, yellowing, a spot or a crease on the slick surface which retains its immaculately clean bright white. Corners, edges and spine are pristine as well !)
VINYL : M- (Shining brightly. Not even a paper scuff or any trace of having ever been played before. I couldn't believe to my eyes and couldn't resist... So I did once from start to end to check and it left me breathless! I can state that, after 47 years, it’s just the way it was when out of the pressing plant and plays accordingly. Astonishing!)

Mailing overseas has now become quite expensive, you see; BUT when just CDs in jewel-cases are involved, we can agree and manage to make it cheaper by shipping the CDs without the plastic stuff. To Australia, for instance, the shipping of #1 CD without the plastic box costs € 6.50 instead of € 10.50 and it makes some difference...
So, before feeling discouraged by the mailing charges enlisted above, just contact me in advance and I will tell you what’s the actual cost to your Country for mailing without the plastic cases the number of units you would buy. It will be my care to give a prompt reply.
Applicable to whatever destination:
Double/Treeble… CD/LP sets count as 2 CDs, 2 LPs... and so on…
The cost of combined shippings of CDs and vinyls together will be calculated to the cheapest possible option depending on the total weight and basically reflectig the rates of above.
All auctions or ‘buy it now’ purchases must be paid for within seven (7) days of close of auction or since the purchase has been made, unless you are bidding on multiple items and wish to combine shipping. If that is the case, please contact me and let me know.

Please note that all LPs are dispatched in heavy-duty card mailers with the aim of them arriving in perfect condition.
Where appropriate, records in inner sleeves are removed from outer sleeves to prevent the possibility of cover seams splitting/sleeve ringwear.
