GRATEFUL DEAD
AMERICAN BEAUTY 1979 MoFi
Original Master Recording
Excellent vinyl. Glossy. Really beautiful both sides when viewed straight on. I can't identify and marks, scuffs or scratches on side 1. On side 2, when viewed at an extreme angle towards the light I can see an area of several short marks. I did not hear anything on my system, but they are visually present.
Sleeve came to me with the top seam completely split, and I did an archival mounting tape repair from the inside. The outer edge wear is evident but you won't see the tape repair unless you look inside the jacket. Spine is ugly- lots of edgewear making it difficult to read when on the shelf. Otherwise pretty standard sleeve wear.
Trying to grade conservatively so as not to disappoint.
Original MoFi inner sleeve is not present. Now in Diskeeper Ultimate inner sleeve with a Polyethylene outer sleeve. Original foldout MoFi inner is present. Dead wax etching consistent with Discog's listing of this pressing. It is NOT the variant. Shipped in a legit record mailer, though not a new one.
This album sounds great. My jaw dropped when I first heard this pressing. This was the first time I understood when people talk about these master recordings creating "space" between the instruments and vocals. I just replaced it with the 2 disc 45 rpm version and looking to re-home this.
Free USPS Media Mail shipping in the US.
I will always combine shipping, so if you want multiple items and purchase them separately so as not to miss out, I will refund the excess postage.
Sold Internationally through the Global Shipping Program. Sorry, I can't control the cost or speed of that, and Import charges may apply- You are responsible for those and please understand they are out of my control. Message me if the cost is prohibitive and I’ll do my best to find a solution.
Please pay within three (3) days or contact me for arrangements.
Careful, thoughtful packing…Seriously- I buy more than I sell here, so I know first hand the sound of broken glass…
Mine is a smoke free home, but thankfully not pet free. They don't tend to play with my stuff however, and I won't let them do the packing.
I’ve been on eBay since 1998 and have never had negative or neutral feedback. Please contact me with any issues and I will do all I can to resolve them.
Thanks very much, feel free to ask any questions-before or after the sale- Regards, Jeff
