From Warner Brothers Records (W 1689) this is the self-titled debut album by The GRATEFUL DEAD, an original US pressing released March 17, 1967; playing time, 34:53. It is a first pressing with 1A hand-written in matrix both sides.
The jacket is about NEAR MINT MINUS or better showing barely a whisper of shelf wear, remaining sturdy with bright and vibrant colors and sharp b&w images (see photos). The original inner sleeve (not pictured) is present and shows some overall toning but is wrinkle-free with no tears (also NEAR MINT MINUS).
The labels are super-clean with no marks of any kind (no spindle marks!). Glossy playing surfaces show a couple of minor buffs made by sliding in and out of the paper inner sleeve and a few hairline marks that cannot be felt with fingertip. Visually grades about EX MINUS and play grades about EX+ to stone cold MINT with no constant extraneous noise and no distortion even in the dynamic passages and even when played at higher volumes (a few soft clicks that you'll miss if you happen to be tripping). Jerry's guitar is clean and clear.
We have packaged the LP in a MFSL state-of-the-art inner sleeve within separate jacket for shipping and for your long-term storage needs at home.
About as good a listening copy as you're gonna get in this lifetime. Elsewhere on eBay in lesser condition for $80 and up!
