This statement explain the success of the group since its inception in December, 1965. In their relatively short tenure as a gospel singing group, they have won many friends during their appearances in church services, revivals, homecomings, and gospel concerts—especially throughout the Carolinas. However, more important to them, than the success they have achieved, is the inspiration they have been able to impart to the audiences for whom they have presented their praise of the Lord in song. In this collection of gospel songs, the Journeymen offer a varied program of sacred selections—all of which sing the praises of Jesus Christ and stress the Joy of Christian Living. This album contains songs on which each member is featured. The second tenor, Jack Kimbro, is featured on the inspirational and moving song, "When I Come to the End of the Road." Earl Owens, baritone, does an excellent job on an old favorite, "I Know Who Holds Tomorrow." Featured on one of the newer and extremely popular gospel songs, "Each Step I Take," is the crystal-clear voice of the first tenor and manager of the quartet, Jimmy Morris. • One of the unique features of this album is the talent of Sammy Oxendine at the keyboard as he plays—and sing!—the touching song, "I Praise the Lord." Here then, for your religious and spiritual listening enjoyment, is our "Anniversary Album." This album is designed to bring cheer into your home through the medium of gospel singing.
