Description
British ORANGE VINYL pressing of Generation X "King Rocker" / "Gimme Some Truth (live)" 7" single. Chrysalis Records # CHS 2261, 1979, UK. Produced by Ian Hunter. What an amazing punk band Generation X were. They were so damn good! Billy Idol on vocals, Bob Andrews on guitar, Tony James on bass, and Mark Laff on drums. Andrews and Laff later formed the amazing band Empire, who put out a 12" EP called "Expensive Sound" that had a great influence on the Washington, DC punk scene, especially as things switched from hardcore to emo stuff .....DETAILS / CONDITION OF RECORD: Record has nice picture sleeve, which is in very good shape. Sleeve has very faint impressions of the vinyl record inside, noticeable only when one turns the sleeve in the light. Beautiful Orange vinyl record is in paper inner sleeve, looks as new and plays great. Record has been in plastic bag since I got it (possibly from my friend and housemate Eddie Janney of Rites of Spring) in about '86 or '87........If you win the auction: I want buyer to be happy with their purchase. As in all of my auctions, if the record does not play well or is not as described, then I will accept returns and give a refund. I have no desire to rip anybody off, nor do I want to disappoint anyone....PROVENANCE: This record comes from the punk archives of Jeff Nelson ( Minor Threat / Dischord Records ), which are being downsized after having recently been described as "too big" and "insane.".....Ohio residents add 7% sales tax (before shipping costs)....SHIPPING: Within the USA, First Class Mail/Delivery Confirmation would be $3.00.
