Genesis 7" single, Happy The Man, 1972 Original Promo Copy, Mint condition
After about 35 years of collecting Genesis records, I've decided it's time to sell off some of my rarities. I have many very rare Genesis records and will be selling them off gradually over the coming months, and I'm listing about a dozen or so items this week.This is a very rare promo copy of Genesis 1972, 7 inch single release, Happy the Man with Seven Stones from Nursery Cryme on the B Side. Happy the Man was not on any album.
Catalogue number CB181.
Mint condition. This was from the office of Tony Stratton Smith in the 1970s and I've never played it even once.
Matrix stamped CB 181 A-20 and CB 181 B-1U and KT on both sides. Hand engraved RAYS.

As collectors will know the stock version of this item was unofficially reissued years later (though not this promo version). I have the reissue in my collection and the differences are very clear in identifying this as an original, including the raised bands around the edge of the label, the label is a more purple colour than the reissue, the text is much closer to the edge of the label, John Anthony is in lower case and the gap between the Producer credit and B&C credit is larger.
