THEIR SECOND SLAB OF ULTIMATE PROGRESSIVE GREATNESS.
In the last few years I have only come across two swirl copies of this great Gentle Giant album which in my opinion is the pinnacle of musicianship in the early seventies and the best Gentle Giant album together with "Three Friends". Gentle Giant will be remembered in centuries to come along with the likes of Beethoven and Mozart!!! The musicianship AND the songcraft are simply sublime!!! Ever since probably only equalled by the likes of the Swedish prog overlords , Opeth. Sensational sound quality, NO skips or jumps. NO clicks, NO crackle or only sporadic low level static noise, this is really a stunning heavy vinyl with a beautiful deep gloss. This vinyl has not been played much !!! A definite EX!!! There are only a couple of tiny wispy hairlines, totally inaudible on replay. Don't be mistaken, this is a great quality vinyl, worthy of inclusion into a great prog collection!!! Inspected under an intense lightsource and angled.

6360 041 - 1ST EVER PRESS - THESE ARE GETTING IMPOSSIBLE TO TURN UP NOW IN ANY DECENT CONDITION - BUT THIS ONE IS AWESOME.
JUST PRESSED DEEP SHINE - RARE!!
SLEEVE - THICK GATEFOLD - VIRTUALLY AS ISSUED WITH ONLY VERY MINIMAL MINI EDGE CREASES A STRONG EX DISC - STUNNING EX INNER BAG VG+ with seamsplits but original with the all important datestamp "0671". Of course there are NO skips, jumps, clicks or sticks. Unbelievably as it may sound there is not hardly any background noise at all. Impossible to find for this 1971 vinyl!!! Great but often obtuse supreme melodic songcraft and it was not a wonder that Gentle Giant did not sell to the amount that e.g. Yes and Genesis did. I played this on my Technics turntable with a Linn cartridge and through my very revealing B&W three way speakers!!!
Vinyl: EX , a great upgrade. This is a seriously desirable album and very rare in this great condition!!! The replay is simply outstanding!!! The CD re-issue has nothing on this formidable recording!!! This only has a couple of absolutely miniscule wispy hairlines which are inaudible. For all my regulars in Italy, Russia, Japan and the States, you know who you are, it does not get much better than this. The Swirls of any GENTLE GIANT album are golddust and very hard indeed to still find!!! This one still has the original inner swirl polylined sleeve in EX+ condition, NO splits or damage!!! Listening to "Pentagruel's Nativity" now , my personal favourite GG track.... OUT OF THIS WORLD!!!!!!
Gatefold sleeve: VG+ to EX . Rarely seen like this!!!! Even harder to find than "Three Friends" as an original Swirl. Even the spaceship labels are few and far between. Minimal creasing just near the top right corner. One small bit of tape on the spine as shown in the close-up picture. The edges are nice with only minimal scuffing. The opening is crisp. The inside gatefold is EX.
This is a unique investment opportunity!!! Finding this album in any condition at all is nearly impossible, LEAVE ALONE IN THIS STUNNING EX CONDITION!!!
Labels are EX with only minor spindling.
