Description
This is the original 10" soundtrack from the film Gentleman Prefer Blondes with Marilyn Monroe & Jane Russell and it is signed by both Marilyn & Jane on the front cover. I acquired this LP over 25 years ago when I was living in the Southern California area and had taken it to a local authentication company at the time and was given a LOA on the piece back in 1995. A couple of years ago I decided to send it in to James Spence Authentication (JSA) to get a better authentication and they notified me with the letter that infrequently certain signatures received for examination are deemed inconclusive (neither legitimate nor non-authentic) and that they could not offer a conclusive opinion on it. I show a photo of the copy of the letter and the submission number and also the original LOA and both will be included with the LP. I had also taken it to the Antique Roadshow in their early days when they first came to Los Angeles and their memorabilia appraiser deemed it authentic as well. Marilyn's writing reads To Lionel Many Thanks Forever I Love You Marilyn and the Jane Russell reads Sisters Dirty!!! Any-Ol-Time J. The cover has seam splitting all along most of the bottom spine and a few other spots of light edge wear and the back shows age browning. It includes the 10" LP as well that does have a crack in it. I've provided all of the information and letters that I have on the history of the LP and show a number of photos and it is sold as is without any other claims of authenticity.
