Description
I am selling off part of my own personal collection.
I have been in the music business for 40 + years, starting at Polydor UK in early 1970. I have worked in the studio with Carlos Olms who is the well known producer and engineer on works for Jimi Hendrix, Level 42, James Last and many others.
I have worked in the studio with artists such as The Bee Gees, and Rory Gallagher to name two.
I have based my gradings with the knowledge and background I have gained during my music career and the standard guides for vintage rare vinyl
General Information
All Things Must Pass is a triple album by George Harrison. Recorded and released in 1970, the album was Harrison's first solo work since the break-up of The Beatles in April that year. The original vinyl release featured two LPs of rock songs as well as Apple Jam, a third disc of informal jams. Often credited as rock's first triple album, it was in fact the first by a single act, the multi-artist Woodstock live set having preceded it by six months.
In regards to the album's size, Harrison stated: "I didn't have many tunes on Beatles records, so doing an album like All Things Must Pass was like going to the bathroom and letting it out.
The album was critically acclaimed and, with long stays at number 1 in both the US and the UK, commercially successful. It was certified 6x platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America in 2001.
Release Comes With A 36x24 Poster Of George, And Each Inner Sleeve Is In A Different Colour, Each Containing The Lyrics. Record 1 Is Lilac, Record 2 Is Tawny, And Record 3 Is Mustard.
Earlier versions came in 'MADE AND PRINTED IN GREAT BRITAIN' textured box and with large 'Printed in Great Britain' poster.
A more common version comes with made in US box, that is thinner than UK one.
Original pressings have a plain (unbleached) cardboard bottom on the inside of the box. All later covers have a white bottom, then later still, an orange bottom. This first issue came with a filler piece of white corrugated cardboard set in the base of the box. All subsequent versions came with the bottom already lined in white (and later still in orange).

A rare complete & genuine 1st UK First Press with 1st UK deep box with the unbleached cardboard bottom.
Vinyl still has that high glossy bright sheen. Matrix's all 1U ,The VeryFirst issue. 1U/1U/1U/1U/1U/1U stored in static free sleeves for many years.
Stampers in the more desirable & regular 'clustered' order for sonic & 'press' consistency, Side 1 GGG / Side 2 GRT / Side 3 GRP / Side 4 GAO / SIDE 5 GDA / SIDE 6 GGG.
Visually Graded Near Mint- under a bright light some tiny hairlines from storage/sleeve removal Labels Graded Near Mint- with the Spindle Holes under a bright light showing some very light signs of handling

UK Poster Graded Excellent to Excellent + opened to take photos as still folded from 'new' which shows one small crease in the centre/
on the plain back of the poster there a few 'tiny' age spots.Still looks in very fine condition overall.
The textured and fragile colored inners are complete. Graded VG to VG+
The lilac inner has a 2''(5cm) split approx. off centre at the bottom of the sleeve.
The other two inners show minor wear and some ageing spots.Importantly no splits at the bottom of the sleeves.
No writing/pen/ink marks on the 3 inners. One visible mark on the Apple Jam inner

A very strong, sturdy spine. Box Hinge in as 'new' condition.

The main upper Gold Engraved Box text is clearly readable with only the slightest fading : GEORGE HARRISON / ALL THINGS MUST PASS
The bottom end, lower box text APPLE STCH 639 is readable in daylight but shows some fading most noticeable at the lowest edge

I estimate I have played the vinyl less than 10 times in all those years,including 2 times recently to grade the audio.
Sonic wise, for me, it is highly impressive for it's time and age and I have play graded this copy and rate it an 9/10 overall for its audio quality
A joy to listen to.,which is why I played it a second time.
The play test details : are my own honest audio/sonic gradings and comments
Side 1 the audio playback is just about as perfect as EMI Apple vinyl can be for this era.
Side 2 the audio playback is again, in my opinion, just about perfect as EMI Apple vinyl can be for this era
Side 3 Light crackle on the 'run in' to Track 1 ''Beware Of Darkness'' not audible when the music is playing.
The audio playback graded & rated the same quality and opinion as Sides 1 & 2
Side 4 The audio playback is again, just about as perfect as EMI Apple vinyl can be for this era
Side 5 'Apple Jam' appears MINT- using a bright light at differing angles I 'believe' I can see one mega light hairline sleeve removal fine-line ! I don't recall ever playing this side.
Side 6 'Apple Jam' appears MINT using a bright light at differing angles and I don't recall ever playing it.
At this time due to the MINT to MINT- visuals I do not intend to play test the vinyl. It looks new and has a bright deep glossy sheen to it.
