Description
GEORGE HARRISON - 'ELECTRONIC SOUND'
This 1st UK pressing of George on the Moog Synthesiser at his Esher home & at Abbey Road, dates from early summer 1969.
It was the 2nd and final release on Apple's experimental subsidiary 'Zapple' label: Zapple 02
It was released just as EMI were ending the inclusion of the 'Sold in UK....' text from their labels, and this copy is without it.
Matrix numbers: ZAPPLE 02A-1 & ZAPPLE 02B-1
Stamper codes: 1/O & 1/O
Vinyl weight: 142g
Housed in a fully laminated cover with 'Produced by George Harrison' in blue on the front cover & with its printed inner-sleeve.
CONDITION
Disc
Labels: MINT
A pristine pair with no marks or wear to or around either centre hole.
Visual: NEAR MINT
Immaculate deep-gloss playing surfaces which apart from a very light turntable scuff on side 1 are 'as new' & unmarked in strong daylight. Even close examination beneath my powerful halogen desk lamp fails to reveal anything more than a few barely visible wispy paper hairlines.
Sound Quality: MINT
This copy shows no signs of ever having been played and my single play-check uncovered no trace of any audible faults or wear.
Cover: EXCELLENT
A vivid & vibrant example which retains an totally unscratched high-gloss laminate front & rear, free from any 'thumbnails' or spine bends. There is a bend to the upper right corner (visible only from the rear) but all other and both opening edges are wear-free. There is a 2cm split to the laminate to the upper seam but the spine is clean & unworn.
Inner-sleeve: EXCELLENT
Clean & flat with just an unavoidable light disc impression and a faint water mark in the lower left corner but no writing, tears or seam splits.
