UK 1971 *TEST PRESSING* 45
This genuine white-label 'Test Pressing' dates from the single's UK release in 1971 on Apple R 5884.
The side 1 label has 'My Sweet Lord' and 'George Harrison' written on it in blue ballpoint pen.
The over-sized side 2 label is blank.
Matrix numbers: 7YCE 21511-1 & 7YCE 21512-1
Stamper codes: 1/G & 1/G
These earliest possible stamper codes confirm this copy as being amongst the first ever pressed.
CONDITION
Labels: EXCELLENT
The two images opposite best describe the condition.
Visual: VERY GOOD
Both playing surfaces are clean & bright but the 'A' side does bear a large fingernail scuff and some small light scratches. Side 2 is free from any similar marks or wear.
Play: EXCELLENT
A great sounding record with warm and clean audio, free from any groove/play wear distortion. In fact, apart from a hint of light background early on in 'My Sweet Lord', there is little else to fault.
