More information:

This is a wonderful collection of hand written correspondence and documents (letters, interview, self portrait, lyrics, short story and noted printed sheets) by Gitane Demone (of Christian Death and later solo frame), which were received by myself in 1995 – 96. 

I originally contacted Gitane as I was interested in conducting an interview with her for a fanzine idea I was working on.  Her initial response was immensely warming but couldn’t have prepared me for the in-depth, frank, open, warming and personal interview I received back from my questions.  Adding up to six hand written pages and including a wonderful self portrait I was moved and delighted with the interview.  But that wasn’t all, as aside from the interview Gitane also included hand written lyrics and a short story plus an array of photos and information sheets.  

On question 5 of the interview I mentioned a tape I was given by a friend in 1993, which contained 5 solo songs by Gitane and 5 songs by Rozz’s then project ‘Shadow Project’.  This tape was given to my friend by Gitane when he met her some years before. This tape contains 5 previously unreleased demo versions of Gitane’s work, which have only been heard by a hand full of people.  This tape is also included.

Whilst we were corresponding I helped organise a concert for Gitane and the dearly departed Rozz Williams on their Dream Home Heartache tour. The contact for this, along with the rider details and press information relating to this is also included here.

This is a one off collection of correspondences between Gitane and myself from a time when she was entering a new creative peak, which is more than transparent in her writings and is a must for any fans of Gitane herself, Rozz Williams, and Christian Death etc etc

By the way, the magazine did happen – the Judas Kiss (www.judaskissmagazine.co.uk) ran for 10 years and became one of the post-industrial scenes most prominent and important (even if I do say so myself) magazines of the time.  Now sadly finished, I’m clearing out my achieve of correspondences, letters and artwork and this is one of the very last pieces.

Condition – excellent, all letters have been kept in plastic envelopes since receiving them.

The tape, I can’t say, as I no longer have a working tape-deck but it looks absolutely fine.

1) Please note that I always use Royal Mail as my postal provider and the prices above include the cost of postage using them plus the materials for the packaging.

If you are not happy to pay the postage costs above or to use Royal Mail as a postal provider then PLEASE DO NOT bid as the costs above are final and not open to debate. 

2) I always obtain a Receipt of Postage from the Post Office at the time of posting my item(s) out.  This is my proof that the item has been posted, should any queries of this nature arise.

3) For none-UK buyers I always send my packages as Standard Airmail.  This method of postage does not provide any level of insurance for loss or damage once the package has left the UK.  If you would like your package insured, this a can be arrange but at an additional cost.  If you would like to use this service please contact me at the end of your auction.

Packaging:

I’m a big collector of  vinyl and take great care when sending out records.  They are very well packaged in thick card.  Basically I send them out how I’d like to receive them.

Where possible I will try and use recycled packaging when mailing out my items.
