Goo Goo Dolls Self Titled FIRST RELEASE - Record

Excellent Condition!

This record is in excellent condition. Original shrinkwrap is still intact with a small hole in the front. Cover has no marks, bends, tears, punch holes, etc. Record has never been played. Record has no scratches, marks, etc. Original record sleeve. Comes with an extra plastic dust sleeve shown in the picture so you can tack it up on your wall or whatever.

You are looking at a piece of history here. Released in 1987. This record is rare and very hard to find. Here you will get a taste of the Goo Goo Dolls long before anything you will hear of them on the radio. It all started with this in a little studio in Buffalo, New York, their hometown.

This is great music to workout to and get the endorphines pumping. Be sure and give Grandma earplugs though. You won't find the slightest hint of an Iris, Sympathy,or even What a Scene here. This is even before the rockin sound of A Boy Named Goo or Superstar Car Wash. This is pure heavy metal punk. The Goo's have never really "fit" into a genre since the day they started. They have always created their own little space just outside the norm. That's why we love them, right? So this album seems to float somewhere in between heavy metal and punk.

The only other place you can find anything off this album is "I'm Addicted" on their excellent "best of" album What I Learned About Ego, Opinion, Art, and Commerce which includes all their songs that should have been hits but never made the airwaves. Another thing that is very different about this recording is that it's before John did hardly any singing. Robby does all the lead vocals on this one.
