Description

Greek 78 Records

Group of four original 1930s-40s vintage Greek/Greek-American 78RPM records, as follows:

[1] Unnamed label 1004 featuring Greek man in national costume, No. 384-Sotirios Stasinopoulos, Ameriki, Agglia Kai Rossia, Tsamiko [America, England and Russia] b/w To Tragoudi Tis Xenitias, Sirto. Obviously a WW2-era record due to the title on side one. Small chip to edge but does not affect playing surface.

[2] Standard F-9004, C. Gadinis Orch., Peristeroula-Tsamico b/w Apopse Den Kimithika-Sirto. Copyright 1945 by Standard Phono Corp. N.Y. Some wear to spindle hole and a chip to edge on B side but does not affect playing surface.

[3] Standard F-9013, Kalavrita Aghia Lavra-Tsamiko b/w Katinaki Mou-Kalamatiano. Artists name is in Greek and not translated to English, composer's name D. Benetos.

[4] Columbia 7110-F, Ioannis Pernidakis and Emm. Lagoudakis with Orch. Accomp., Sfakianos Syrtos-Kretiko b/w Rizitiko Tragoudi. Greek Imported Recording. Faint hairline crack about 1 inch long, still plays well but with clicks where the crack is located [does not skip].

Records have been heavily played with numerous scratches, background noise, label wear, etc., but are still playable and good for "fillers" until better copies can be located. Records are in fair to good condition and one price gets all 4! Any questions please feel free to ask.
