HAMPTON GREASE BAND---MUSIC TO EAT

Columbia Records G 30555--2 LP GATEFOLD SET

This very rare Rock album by the Hampton Grease Band has the legendary distinction of being the second lowest selling album that Columbia ever released. There should be some kind of trophy for that! At any rate, if you are a fan of Frank Zappa, or Captain Beefheart's music you will love this 2 LP set. The group consisted of five members, Bruce Hampton being the Lead Vocalist and Trumpet player. There are two Guitarists, one of which doubles on Sax. That's too much info about the members now. Not that it matters at this point, but the Hampton had a strange stage performance also. They had their first reunion concert in 2006 that drew well as they had built a cult following over the years.
