A legendary masterpiece of experimental music, one of the first recordings ever with full use of live electronics and improvisation!! Issued in Uk Polydor label, this is the original, never re-issued on vinyl, originals were seen years ago in catalogues for prices around 500 euros!! Musica Elettronica Viva collective was founded in 1966 with members Frederic Rzewski(electronics, piano), Alvin Curran(flugelhorn, Ananda label), Richard Teitelbaum(moog synthesiser), Franco Cataldi(trombone, etc), Gunther Carius(Saxophone, etc.).
MEV were early experimenters with the use of synthesizers to transform sounds: for example a 1967 concert in Berlin included a performance of John Cage's Solo for Voice 2 with Plantamura's voice transformed through a Moog Synthesizer. They also used such "non-musical" objects as amplified panes of glass and olive oil cans, and their performances achieved notoriety in Italy for their ability to generate riots.
