Description

Up for auction is an original copy of the classic 1957 BLUE NOTE LP release of the legendary HANK MOBLEY SEXTET album 'Hank' (MONO 1560). This deep groove pressing with the 47 WEST 63RD NYC labels on both sides is in really outstanding condition! You probably won't find a better copy than this one!

The heavy and fully laminated BLUE NOTE cover is in almost immaculate condition! There's NO writing, NO tears, NO seam splitting (not even a hint of it!), NO stamping, the spine is fully intact and legible, there's NO creasing or nasty thumbnailing to the glossy front! The back is also in pristine condition! NO yellowing, NO tears to the thin BLUE NOTE paper! Please have a look at the scans! On the top right hand of the back is a removable tiny sticker though with the number '528' on it. That's about it! Please check with the scans! There's NOTHING TO HIDE! Overall this BLUE NOTE 1560 cover is in true EXCELLENT to NEAR MINT condition!

Both labels feature the all important 47 WEST 63RD NYC address on it. Both sides have the BLUE NOTE deep groove rims. There's NO registration R with the word NOTE! The labels are both clean, NO writing, NO warping or creasing! Please have a look at the scans. Side I has a small removable sticker, which gives the address of a Berlin record shop the album was purchased from (which rather adds to the records authenticity I my opinion). The dead wax features the RVG and ear stamps and handwritten matrix information BN-LP-1560-A and -B.

The glossy vinyl itself is in outstanding condition! It plays absolutely wonderful without any distracting background noises, pops or clicks! The heavy vinyl looks truly EXCELLENT with just slightest signs of being pulled out of it's protective inner sleeve! These are lightest NON-FEELABLE marks (I hesitate to call these signs 'marks' though).

This BLUE NOTE 1560 MONO rarity is in OUTSTANDING condition and ranges between EX+ for the vinyl to NM for the sleeve! Satisfaction guaranteed!
