Description

RARE AND ORIGINAL 1957 single LP 2nd edition of "OEDIPUS", composed and performed by HARRY PARTCH with ALLAN LOUW and THE GATE 5 ENSEMBLE.  Includes incredible 16 page booklet with pictures and descriptions of the numerous instrument built by Harry Partch, and used in this album.  Red ink rubber stamp on jacket back with a street address (see pic).

My scanner cut off some of the front jacket, sorry!


Vinyl record is VG, with some scratching and light surface wear.  Playback has some pops and background noise, but overall playback is quite EXCELLENT.

Jacket is VG as well with a fair amount of edgewear, seam splits and surface wear.  Taped-on cataloging note (previous owner) near front upper right corner, and is about to fall off.  Some additional surface tears below the taped area.

Booklet is in an great NM- shape with minimal handling wear.
