Description
From a recent purchase of archived records from the old KWK record catalogue of 78's. Rare early jazz masterpiece with Bix and some incredible early guitar work from Eddie Lange. This was an early electronic recording on a small label, but the sound is superior for the time and I include an audio sample in HD, unfiltered from the original disc, using the proper stylus after a careful cleaning. The condition is G- with fine scuff and a few deep scratches on the A side, but these Okeh pressings always sound better than they look, and was kept in a heavy card stock radio station sleeve. While there is significant wear, the grooves seemed to have not been trashed and retain a lot of their fidelity, so I mastered at near full frequency because you rarely ever hear the high end information in these pressings on the reissues, which is remarkable given the age and era or recording techniques! This is a supreme early jazz collectible! Thanks for looking and happy listening!
