SETTLE IN FOR A LONG RUN OF COLLECTABLE LPs OF VARIOUS MUSICALS STYLES. This is a reasonably priced ORIGINAL 1956 EMARCY RECORDS U.S. PRESS MONO LP titled 'Dream Of You' containing twelve tracks from jazz vocalist Helen Merrill with accompaniment arranged by Gil Evans. It is Emarcy Records catalog number MG-36078, deep groove heavy vinyl pressing, blue Emarcy labels with drummer logo, heavy cardboard cover with laminated front cover. Tracks: People Will Say We're In Love, By Myself, Anyplace I Hang My Hat Is Home, I've Never Seen, he Was Too Good To Me, A New Town Is A Blue Town, You're Lucky To Me, Where Flamingos Fly, Dream Of You, I'm A Fool To Want You, I'm Just A Lucky So And So, Troubled Waters. Condition of record is a real nice VG++, with a couple of surface marks which cannot be felt and do not affect play. Labels have a couple of light spindle marks and one tiny worn spot, no other real problems. I have graded the cover as VG due to the presence of white snowy discoloration under the lamination on the front cover, due to the lamination beginning to come up with age - I do not know if the snowy white discoloration would be removable if the lamination is removed. Otherwise the cover only has a tiny bit of wear along the front cover slick and a little contact wear, no splits, tears, stickers, or writing, and would grade at a high VG+ without the snowy discoloration on the front cover. The original glassine inner sleeve is present and included, and has one split - I have placed the record in an additional paper inner sleeve in order to preserve the original glassine inner sleeve from further damage. This LP would be a choice addition to any jazz vocal LP record collection!
