FRANK LA MOTTA'S ORCHESTRA gives forth with two gloomy Great Depression-era songs, from the very nadir of that catastrophe: "HERE LIES LOVE" and "SO AT LAST IT'S COME TO THIS."
If you've ever seen the Paramount picture, "The Big Broadcast" (1932), the moment when Bing Crosby and Stu Erwin attempt suicide to the strains of "Here Lies Love" will be indelibly branded in your memory. "So At Last It's Come To This" is best known from a Paul Whiteman record, crooned by lovely Irene Taylor.
This record stands very well on its own, thank you, a lush orchestral reading, with creditable vocals by SONNY O'BRIEN.
This original 1932 Crown 3412 is in swell EE- condition. Only a few rubs and signs of use. As a "packer," I will toss in another Crown record by another 1932 dance band I've been dithering about listing, which unfortunately is scratched all to hell!

I always post at least four clear images, showing the record fore and aft, a close-up of the label, and the whole disc, warts and all. If my purple prose won’t cut it, the pictures will! Shipping is done with expert care.
