An Original FR1/FR1 stereo pressing in a colorback jacket of Hi-Fi A La Espanola, the longtime holy-grail, Best of the Bunch TAS list record. Frederick Fennell conducts the Eastman-Rochester Pops Orchestra in performances of Faith's Brazilian Sleigh Bells, Lecuna's Andalucia, Malaguena, Granados' Goyescas:Intermezzo, Benjamin's Jamaican Rumba, Fernandez' Batuque, Texidor's Amparito Roca, Falla's El Amor Brujo:Ritual Fire Dance, Turina's The Bullfighter's Prayer, and Guarnieri's Brazilian Dance. Mercury Living Presence SR90144.
The jacket shows some minor ringwear on the back. Otherwise the jacket is excellent. The inner sleeve is original.
The record has some visible flaws. I have carefully play graded the record on my SME turntable/arm using a Benz-Micro LPS cartridge tracking at a very light 1.5 grams. The record has several scuff marks on side 1. There are some noticeable tics in the quieter sections of the first 3 tracks on side 1 particularly between tracks. These tics are soft and are not distracting; the music is extremely dynamic. No skips or loud distracting pops or tics. A few louder tics at the beginning and middle of track 4. A little surface noise at the end of track 4. Track 5 is quiet. Track 6 is quiet. Side 2 plays much better. A couple of quiet tics toward the end of track 2 and beginning of track 3. A couple of louder tics toward the end of track 3. The balance of side 2 is quiet.
Quoted shipping in the domestic U.S. is by Media Mail. Quoted international shipping is by USPS first class international mail. Heavier packages must be shipped by USPS International Priority mail. I prefer to combine shipping to save costs. All shipping will be quoted at the end of the listing(s). Records are shipped in heavy cardboard mailers designed specifically for LP's with bubble wrap or cardboard inserts for protection.
If you feel that my description of the record is inaccurate in some respect, you can return the record for a refund of the full purchase price (less shipping).
