Description
This is one of the truly great UNDISCOVERED - PUNK / KBD / POWER POP - US / TEXAS killers by the teenage band HIGH EXPOSURE from 1983. AN ORIGINAL, AND A MUST !!!.
It took me 14 years to upgrade my collection copy, and in that time I have not seen one other copy for sale on Ebay, or private PUNK sale lists !!! a true GREAT UNKNWON.
I don't think this single has been comped yet, but is one of the best examples of US PUNK / KBD / POWER POP singles, and would be a great addition to any of the KILLED BY DEATH / POWERPEARLS type compilations.
These Texas teenagers grew up on a diet of THE RAMONES and in their own unique do it yourself way tried to create the same sound, but as a result of not being able to play their instruments that well this single in my opinion is one of the best examples of TRUE PUNK do it yourself spirit, you have to hear it to see how great it is, it reminds me a bit of the VOMIT PIGS in attitude !!!
The single came out in 1983 on the band's own MADHOUSE MUSIC RECORDS, catalogue number HE 101 - MM , a rare find and an ORIGINAL pressing !!!
The songs are: I KNOW WHAT I LIKE / ALL ALONE TONIGHT.
This single Comes with the original HAND MADE, VERY THIN PAPER PICTURE SLEEVE, and The condition of the VINYL is VG++ (Only minor paper scuffs), ORIGINAL HOME MADE THIN PAPER P/S is in VG condition, (slight yellowing, and seem opening on one side, still fully intact though !!!).
This is only the 2nd time in 26 years I have seen this single for sale, and You will not find another copy of this killer PUNK / KBD / POWER POP single very soon (it took me 14 years to find another !!!), only a few hundred copies were ever made of this private press single.
