HIGH GRADE Beatles 4 LP Lot: Hard Day's Night, Beatles '65, Revolver & Yesterday... And Today. 

Record #1   BEATLES “A HARD DAY’S NIGHT” 

“A HARD DAY’S NIGHT”  (United Artists UAL-3366 Mono) You’re bidding on a beautiful MONO copy of this 60 YEAR OLD ALBUM with a NEAR MINT VALUE of $400.00! Here are the particulars on the album itself: 

TITLE: “A HARD DAY’S NIGHT” (United Artists UAL 3366 – Mono)

COVER: First Pressing with “I Cry Instead” error & “This Boy” publishing exception on back.

RECORD:  EAST COAST COLUMBIA FIRST PRESSING 

MATRIX NUMBERS:  Side 1: UAL 3366A-1E   Side 2: UAL 3366A-1H

LABELS: EAST COAST COLUMBIA LABELS with “I Cry Instead” error. 

ALBUM CONDITIONS

COVER: (VG+) – The only thing keeping this cover from being NEAR MINT are the initials on the front and the full name on the back. There is no ring wear and no splitting.  (SEE IMAGES.)

SEAMS: Both seams are in great shape. There is a very small amount of wear on the bottom seam and none on the top seam. The two corners at the open edge have only minor dings.

SPINE: All text is sharp and legible. (I’ve noticed that the text on these red & black “HARD DAY’S NIGHT” spines never really stands out on these albums, no matter what the condition. But the text on this one shows just fine.) The spine has 2 tiny dents and some minor dings at both ends. Overall, this spine still looks really good. (SEE IMAGES.) 

RECORD: (VG+) – Play tested.  No skips. Vinyl looks great and sounds even better. Has some minor scuffs and very light scratches, but no pops or clicks can be heard. Both sides still retain much of their original luster.  (SEE IMAGES.)

LABELS: Both labels have light spindle marks,  but still look great.  (SEE IMAGES.) 

SLEEVE: Comes in new generic sleeve.

Record #2   BEATLES ’65    

You’re looking at a really nice Mono copy of this great 60 YEAR OLD ALBUM with a NEAR MINT VALUE of $300.00!  

TITLE: “BEATLES ‘65” (Capitol T-2228 – Mono)

COVER: EAST COAST Scranton RCA with #2 on back. 

RECORD:  SCRANTON RCA PRESSING with “R” in trail-off area.

MATRIX NUMBERS:  Side 1: T1-2228 – – T14 B1 “R”    Side 2: T2-2228 – – T14 A6 “R”

LABELS: EAST COAST LABELS with rarer RCA “Deep Groove”. 

ALBUM CONDITIONS

ALBUM COVER:  (VG) A really nice example of this great 60 YEAR OLD ALBUM COVER.

Front: The cover slick is in really nice shape, even with the initials. There is just the slightest hint of ring wear showing at the bottom center. There is a little tear in the slick near the spine and a small crease at the opening about 3 inches from the bottom. The outer edges are bright white. The corners have very light dings.  (SEE IMAGES.)

Back: (#2 near RIAA symbol.) The rear cover looks sharp and bright with only the slightest hint of ring wear.  A 2 inch section at the top center has been torn away from the back as well as the top seam.  (SEE IMAGES.)

*** Despite this damage, I really wanted to give this cover a VG+. It looks really nice in person. But I just had to play it safe and go with the VG. Whoever finally gets this album will see what I mean. I’ve added 2 images of the damage so you can decide for yourself. ***

Seams: Except for the previously mentioned damage, both the top and bottom seams are in great shape. The bottom seam, where you’d expect the first sign of damage to show up, is fine except for the slight dings on the corners.

Spine: All the text is present and clearly legible. There is some crinkling and both corners have been slightly dinged.  (SEE IMAGES.) 

RECORD:  (NEAR MINT) 

Record: Play tested.  No skips. Vinyl looks and sounds fantastic.  Has some minor scuffs but they produce only the occasional light pop.  Both sides still have nearly all of their original luster.  (SEE IMAGES.)

Labels: Both labels are practically flawless.  (SEE IMAGES.) 

Sleeve: Comes in a new generic sleeve.  

Record #3   Yesterday… and Today     

BEATLES “YESTERDAY… and TODAY” STEREO   You’re looking at a nice Stereo copy of this great 58 YEAR OLD ALBUM that has a NEAR MINT VALUE of $400.00!  (Sorry, no “Butcher” underneath.) Here are the particulars: 

TITLE: Yesterday… and Today (Capitol ST-2553 Stereo)

COVER: EAST COAST Scranton, PA #3    

RECORD: EAST COAST, Scranton, PA (“IAM” Pyramid in Trail Off area)  

MATRIX NUMBERS: Side 1: ST1-2553-A3   Side 2: ST2-2553-B2

LABELS: EAST COAST PRESSING  

ALBUM CONDITIONS

COVER:  (VG+) A nice looking example of this great 58 YEAR OLD ALBUM.  (SEE IMAGES.) 

Front: The front cover is bright white and clean as a whistle. It looks great with only the slightest hint of ring wear at the bottom below Paul’s hand.  There is a scratch across Ringo’s chest. These tiny imperfections don’t take away from what is a really nice front cover.   (SEE IMAGES.) 

Back: (#2 next to RIAA symbol.) Back cover is sharp and bright white. It does show just a little bit of ring wear. There is a small crease at the top left corner. Again, these minor imperfections don’t take away from what is a really nice rear cover. (SEE IMAGES.) 

Seams: The seams are both in great shape with no splits or fraying. There is a tiny dent on the bottom seam and the 4 corners only have the tiniest of dings.

Spine: A great looking spine with razor sharp text. Only some minor crinkling and microscopic bottom corner ding take away from what is otherwise a fantastic spine.  (SEE IMAGES.) 

VINYL RECORD:  (VG)  

Record: Play tested.  No skips. Vinyl has some scuffs and surface scratches, but still looks pretty good.  It still has a good amount of its original luster. It does have some minor background noise that doesn’t really affect its good quality sound during playback. (SEE IMAGES.) 

Labels: Both labels look almost perfect. (SEE IMAGES.) 

Sleeve: (NEAR MINT) Original Orange East Coast Inner Sleeve (PE 12-2FS)  that came with the First Pressings of this album. This one is practically flawless. (It’s so hard to find any of these original sleeves in this kind of condition. They often have multiple splits and creases.) This sleeve alone is worth at least $15.00 in this condition.  In order to protect the original sleeve, the record itself will be shipped in a new generic sleeve.  (SEE IMAGES.) 

RECORD #4:  Revolver

BEATLES “REVOLVER”   You’re looking at a BEAUTIFUL Stereo copy of this great 58 YEAR OLD ALBUM that has a NEAR MINT VALUE of $200.00!  Here are the particulars: 

TITLE: Revolver (Capitol ST-2576 Stereo)

COVER: Jacksonville, IL with #16 under RIAA Symbol.   

RECORD:  Jacksonville, IL with “O” in the Trail Off area.  

MATRIX NUMBERS: Side 1: ST1 2576 W7#1 “O”  Side 2: ST2 2576 X6#1 “O”

LABELS: “Subsidiary of Capital” in the outer perimeter.   

ALBUM CONDITIONS

COVER: (NEAR MINT) A nearly perfect example of this great 58 YEAR OLD ALBUM. (SEE IMAGES.) 

Front: The front cover looks sharp and bright with no sign of ring wear.  (SEE IMAGES.) 

Back: (#16 next to RIAA symbol.) Back cover shows no aging or ring wear. (This is very unusual for this mostly black image.)   (SEE IMAGES.) 

Seams: The top seam has a less than half inch tear in the cover slick at the open end. (The cover isn’t “split”. Just that small part of the slick has come loose.)   There is also a tiny bump at the bottom right corner.

Spine: All the text is there and perfectly legible. The top and bottom corners do have minor dings and there is a small piece missing about an inch below the title. Even with these imperfections, this spine still looks really good.  (SEE IMAGES.) 

VINYL RECORD:  (NEAR MINT)  

Record: Play tested.  No skips. Vinyl looks fantastic. It has some light surface scuffs, but no scratches. It sounds like it just came home from the Record Store. Not a pop or click anywhere to be found.  I rarely ever give a record a NEAR MINT grade, but this one deserves it.  (SEE IMAGES.) 

Labels: (“Subsidiary of Capital” in outer perimeter.)  Both labels look nearly perfect.  (SEE IMAGES.) 

Sleeve: Comes in a new generic sleeve. 

NOTE: Record grading is very subjective, so be sure to inspect all the images carefully and decide for yourself.  Also be aware that some imperfections that are visible in the images may not be listed in the descriptions. If you have any questions, please contact me before you bid.

The records will be removed from their covers and original inner sleeves and placed in acid-free paper or poly sleeves. The cover will be put in a loose-fitting polyethylene sleeve. The cost of these shipping supplies are paid for by yours truly,  the seller.
