HIGHWAY HI-FI 8 record lot w/ box, info pamphlet & order form. These were available in the mid-to-late-1950's for only a couple years. They were made for a CAR RECORD PLAYER available on Chrysler models during those years. RIDICULOUSLY RARE & SUPER HARD TO FIND!!
The records are as follows: Favorites of Literature Audio Book Music Series (catalog #'s ABM 110009-D & 110011-D) MR 1 (Classical music) CR 4 (Orchestral Jazz) MR 2 (The Pajama Game) JR 3 (Walt Disney's Davy Crockett) CR 5 (Broadway) MR 6 (The First Drama Quartette, Don Juan in Hell)
I grade the records, box & sleeves in G+/VG condition. All records have scuffs and scratches, mostly light - I have no way to test these as they play at 16 2/3 rpm and there is NO GUARANTEE that these will play without issue - there is NO RETURN policy on this auction. Two of the records (CR 4 & MR 1) have rather gnarly scuffs in one side and in one spot each and appear rather deep and can easily be felt with your fingers. The sleeves are all intact but have general wear including splits seams, wrinkling, small tears, light staining, and/or pencil writing - still very nice and presentable. One record did not have a sleeve so I have supplied a generic white one. Six of the records were manufactured by Columbia Records & the other two were made by the Audio Book Company, St. Joseph, Michigan. The box is complete with attached hinge. It has writing, scuffing, and light staining on the front, the back and inside are super clean. There is one split corner and two tears total - one along the right side and the other on the bottom side. The set includes an informational pamphlet, 1 sheet folded = 4 pages, with a catalog of available titles as well as a separate order form - these are in superb condition. You don't want to miss out on this!!!
