Jacket: Jacket is very fine VG++ with bright artwork, clean white panels, no writing, stickers, etc. Hardly a trace of ring wear, except on reverse at bottom where there are traces beginning to appear. A very bit of cracking just starting to appear at spine near the top. There is a repaired small seam split at top right corner, barely noticeable. Overall a very fine jacket worthy of display.
Vinyl: Vinyl is gorgeous VG++, so very close to NM. Retains full brilliant gloss, shows scant evidence of ever having been on a turntable. Plays near flawlessly, except for a couple places where there are a small number of audible tics – most noticeably in the beginning of "God Gave You Your Mind" where there are a series of perhaps 4 or 5 noticeable tics, and then all is quiet. Overall there are probably 10 tics that you might hear on the entire album, otherwise the playing is flawless. Labels are clean and pristine with no spindle trails. Other than the one time I played it through, I doubt this has ever been on a turntable, it is that beautiful. I am certain the winning bidder will be extremely pleased.
I have provided two sound clips – one with excerpts of all four tracks on Side 1 successively, and the second with excerpts of the Side 2 tracks. These are from the actual record, and have not been altered in any way.
You will be hard pressed to find a nicer copy of this rare album anywhere. If you collect rare funk albums and insist on top condition, this is an opportunity not to be missed.
